Abstract

Susan Pisani was interviewed on September 10, 2015. Her interview primarily concerned community improvement projects that she supervised in the Vista neighborhood. Pisani moved to the Vista neighborhood in 1983 and was actively involved in the community by founding the Vista Neighborhood Association. She was president of the association, volunteering for more than twenty years while also working other full-time jobs. During her tenure, programs such as Paint the Town, Rake Up Boise, and Operation Clean Sweep, among others, sought to improve properties within the area. Pisani also detailed working with the City of Boise, ACHD, and other companies to obtain grants and implement improvements. Additionally, she provided some history of how the neighborhood has changed over the years.
