Abstract

Kathy Skov gave her interview on July 30, 2015. In it she detailed her life growing up in the Vista Neighborhood and her family’s involvement in the Methodist Church. She recalled always being in church from a very young age and what it was like in the 1940s and 50s. Skov also described the many community outreach efforts that have taken shape over the last twenty years. Additionally, she discussed growing up going to Whitney Elementary, South Junior High School and Borah High School. She remembers always playing outside as a child, surrounded by all the neighborhood kids and her entertainment as a teenager. Skov recalled the changes that the Vista neighborhood and the church underwent throughout her life.
