Abstract
In an interview with Elizabeth Stadley on April 16, 2014, Wilma “Dody” and Garnette Edwards discuss their family’s business Edwards Greenhouse and The Florist at Edwards. They describe how the business has expanded and evolved to meet community needs, and their experience as small business owners in Boise.
Edwards Greenhouse was started in 1930 by Garnette’s grandfather Thomas F. Edwards as a truck farm, selling vegetables to local grocery stores and door to door. The business has since been passed down through the family, first to Paul and Dody Edwards, then, at the time of recording, to Garnette Edwards.
