Abstract

In an interview with Elizabeth Stadley on March 5, 2014, Gabrielle Krake discusses her business Bee Wise Goods and experience as a small business owner in Boise.

After many years of running different businesses, including partial ownership in an outfitters business and restaurant with her family, Gabrielle started Bee Wise Goods in 2007. She recognized a personal and commercial desire for reusable grocery bags, and instead of the branded freebees she had collected over the years decided there was a market for bags made with attractive prints and patterns. After her success with cloth bags, and understanding that with the growth of availability of reusable grocery bags, her product line expanded to include toys, baby items, and the sale of patterns for her products.
