Biographical / Historical

Annie has lived in Boise, Idaho for over 15 years. Since relocating she held various positions at companies in the Boise area. Paul Woods initially suggested she become involved with the serial foothills levy campaign. She served as a volunteer on the fundraising committee. She met her husband, Tom while working on the serial foothills levy campaign.

Abstract

In her interview with Stephanie Milne on June 9, 2011, Annie Black, who was an avid volunteer during the Boise foothills campaign and served on Foothills Conservation Advisory Committee for five years, offered her memories of both. She spoke about her memories leading up to the foothills serial levy campaign in 2000 and 2001. She specifically touched on her experiences serving on the Fundraising Committee. Additionally, Black discussed what stood out to her as great accomplishments that occurred while she was a member of the Foothills Conservation Advisory Committee. Black also explained what type of legacy the Foothills preservation has left on the Boise community and the sense of place the Foothills provides her personally. This interview was conducted for the Boise City Department of Arts and History’s Foothills Levy Oral History Project.

She mentioned the fun she had with the people who worked on the fundraising committee with her.
