Abstract

In an interview with Troy Reeves on August 8, 1998, Nancy Donald discusses her involvement with the Greenbelt and Pathways Committee from 1974-1997. She discusses the role the committee played in acting as a review board for the Park Department regarding the construction of the Greenbelt. She describes the River Run proposal, how the setback evolved, discussions around landscaping, wildlife habitat management, and the committee’s decision to disband. She touches on her opinion of the current state of the Greenbelt, the problems surrounding the Bob Gibb Friendship Bridge, and her recollection of the impact certain members of the committee had on the project.
