Abstract
In an interview with Troy Reeves on August 17, 1998, Nelson Miller discusses his involvement with the Greenbelt and Pathways Committee from the early 1970s to 1982. He describes his initial impressions of the committee coming in after the City of Boise had obtained property from a concrete batch plant. He discusses the many issues the committee ran into during development including the setback, wildlife habitat, acquiring the Barber Dam, disputes with Goodman Oil, and the overall vision for the pathway. Nelson also touches on his view of the public’s opinion of the Greenbelt project during early construction as well as the planning of the pathway through the BSU's campus.
