Biographical / Historical
The Military Reserve is approximately 734 acres of land in the northeastern section of Boise. An archery range, an old military cemetery, bike park, bike park, and walking trails are located on the land. In March 1956 The Bureau of Land Management gave Boise City a patent for 449 acres, and an additional 17 acres in 1981; an access road and cemetery were included in the patent to aid in maintenance efforts. In 2006 Boise City purchased an adjacent 260 acres utilizing the Foothills Levy funds.
