This collection documents the activities of Edd R. Moore, district manager of the Universal Carloading and Distribution Freight Company, as well as personal material from 1935-1939. Included in the collection is correspondence, insurance records, training material, matchbooks, stamps, shipping labels, business cards, tobacco coupons, and other ephemera.

Biographical / Historical
Edd Reno Moore was born February 14, 1908 in Gunnison, Colorado to Winifred Dell Davis and Gail Harris Moore. He worked as the district manager of Universal Car Loading and Distribution Freight Company in Boise, Idaho. Edd was also active in Masonic fraternal organizations including the Order of DeMolay. He died December 25, 2008 in Hemet, California.

The material in this collection was found in a desk drawer inside the Union Pacific freight office attic.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
The Boise City Archive acquired the collection through donation in 2023 from Pam and Ron Grove who purchased the building where the material was found.

The arrangement for the collection was imposed during processing in the absence of a usable original order. Folder titles were created by the archivist.
