Biographical / Historical
In 1981, Bob Richards organized the Boise Happy Hoofers as a way for senior citizens to socialize while walking together. At the time of its origin, the group boasted 250 members over the age of 60. The walks take place on the Boise Greenbelt three times a week and occur year-round.
In 1992, the Happy Hoofers donated a giant sequoia tree with an associated plaque at Ann Morrison Park.
