Membership Cards and Applications, Undated
Scope and Contents
The Boise City Lodge #480 Independent Order of B’nai B’rith was established around the end of the 19th century. It offered the Jewish community philanthropic opportunities and social activities, but it was not formerly tied to the Congregation Beth Israel. During the 1950s both the men’s and women’s groups declined in membership and eventually became inactive. The series consists of records documenting activities of the organization from 1943-1964. The series includes correspondence, meeting minutes, organizing documents, reports, financial documents, forms, and membership lists.
