Physical Description

The back of the postcard contains a short, printed blurb about the U.S. Reclamation Service’s work on the dam. There is also a handwritten note that reads “repair work on gates. Jack Sanders stooping down. Spider 14 feet in diameter holds gates on dam. Opening inside 4 feet 4 in operated by balance valve or sliding needle valves operated by water pressure ¼ turn of valve opens gates wide open.”
