Abstract Carlyle Briggs was born in 1922, he grew up near the corner of Franklin and Eagleson. His father was an engineer and his grandfather was a farmer near Cole and Ustick. Carlyle’s father ran an engineering office out of a building in Downtown Boise until the 1940s, when Carlyle joined the firm and the two of them opened an office on Grove Street. Abstract

Joe Jordan started working for Morrison-Knudsen right after finishing his military service in the Army. In 1955 he went to work on the Brownlee and Oxbow in the Hells Canyon. Afterwards he went to work for Bechtel and then back to M-K to work on the Colombian coal project, called Cerrajon. Jordan then worked for International Engineering Company, an M-K company. Jordan worked on many international projects. IECo, of San Francisco, planed and offered engineering services to many countries.
