Abstract
Harold Dougal moved to Boise with his family in 1936. After serving in World War II, he began working with the Boise Fire Department. After twenty-five years he retired as a Captain dispatch officer. In addition to his work at the Boise Fire Department he also flew airplanes, transporting power line patrols and pipeline patrols for Salt Lake Pipeline and the Idaho Power Company. He is the author of a book about his time flying called Adventures of an Idaho Mountain Pilot. He built a house on Kootenai in 1955 and discusses how the area has changed since.
