Abstract

Margaret Leaman’s interview was completed on June 2, 2015. During the interview, Leaman, and a few of her friends, described their involvement in the Vista Neighborhood Association from the 70s to 2007. She detailed the association’s various projects throughout the years, community participation, and partnerships between the association and local business and government entities. Much of the Vista Neighborhood Association’s many projects focused on helping residents with home improvement and beautifying the neighborhood. Leaman also recalled some of the challenges that came along, particularly with an area bar and uncooperative neighbors. Leaman recommended other association members that could glean more light on valuable information.
