Abstract
Kay Sielaff’s interview was completed on August 25, 2015. In the interview she detailed what life was like growing up in the Vista neighborhood, her family’s history, and how she raised her family in the same neighborhood. She was the first graduating class from Borah High School in 1959 and discussed the various jobs and activities she did in junior high and high school. Sielaff also recalled her childhood activities. The interview also comprised of her father’s jobs as a carpenter and how he raced horses, like Idaho Tribe, during his retirement. Lastly, she described the differences and similarities between her childhood on the Bench and how she raised her kids in the Vista neighborhood.
