Abstract
In his interview with Gaby Thomason on July 11th, 2018, Don Fry, who served as a Boise firefighter, offered his memories of working from the years 1989-2017. In that time, Fry served as a firefighter, senior firefighter, and captain. Fry spoke on the following topics: Growing up in a community of firefighters; his early training and what he learned on the job; experiences as a “no counter” promotions he received; fighting foothills fires; humorous experiences on site and at the fire stations; the city’s emergency response drill and more.
