Abstract
In his interview with Gaby Thomason on July 3rd, 2018, John Anderson, who served as a Boise firefighter, offered his memories of working from the years 1973-1998. In that time, Anderson served as a firefighter, senior firefighter, captain, and battalion chief. Anderson spoke on the following topics: How he came to live in Boise and join the Fire Department; what he loved about the work; working out at the airport station; working as Battalion Chief; the Eastman Fire; the 8th Street Fire; fires caused by hazardous materials; firehouse pranks; transition of responsibilities on medical calls and more.
