Shari Hennefer is the daughter of Earlene Pinneo. Earlene and her older sister, Marilyn Joan Pinneo, moved to the Central Bench neighborhood from the North End in 1930 with their parents George Earl and Ella Cassidy Pinneo. Both Marilyn and Earlene attended Franklin School, for all twelve years, graduating in 1943 and 1945. Shari recounts stories from her mother and aunt about growing up in the neighborhood, as well as stories from her childhood and life there.

Abstract Vicki Linderborn was born in Mackey Idaho in 1936. Her father worked for the U.S. Forest Service, out of the Boise office, near 900 River Street. Her parents bought a house on the Bench in 1941, when Vicki was five. She went to Franklin Elementary School and spent most of her free time playing in the open fields.
