Glenn Compton discusses his family history, and how their business, Compton Transfer and Storage Company, began in 1902. He recounts what the four warehouse locations in downtown Boise were like in the 1940s and 1950s, and how the company expanded. Abstract

Donna Day Jacobs was interviewed on November 13, 2013. The purpose of the interview was to establish some of the Boise Bench History. Jacobs started the interview detailing her family’s history and settlement in Boise and Emmett from England. Just as Jacobs began discussing her life, the tape was cut short, with the interview only lasting a little over seven minutes.
