Abstract Sadami Tanabe was interviewed on January 13, 2014 as part of the Boise Bench history. He began his interview talking about how his family made a living farming near Portland, OR and how he volunteered to work the fields in Nyssa, ID. After his time in Nyssa, his family was forced to leave Portland and go to Minidoka Internment Camp until 1946. Abstract On September 10, 2015 Sandy Dickerson was interviewed regarding the history of the Vista neighborhood. She recounted how her grandparents first came to Boise in the 1930s and built their home in the Vista neighborhood. Dickerson recalled her childhood growing up in the area and what life was like in this part of Boise during the 40s and 50s. Abstract

Shari Hennefer is the daughter of Earlene Pinneo. Earlene and her older sister, Marilyn Joan Pinneo, moved to the Central Bench neighborhood from the North End in 1930 with their parents George Earl and Ella Cassidy Pinneo. Both Marilyn and Earlene attended Franklin School, for all twelve years, graduating in 1943 and 1945. Shari recounts stories from her mother and aunt about growing up in the neighborhood, as well as stories from her childhood and life there.

Abstract Tom Eubanks is the son of Mary Latermore, the daughter of Tom Latermore who bought lots of the property on the NE corner of Franklin and Orchard.
