In an interview with Erin Bostwick on July 24, 2017, Janet Nicely discusses her life and memories of living in Ustick, Idaho beginning in 1945. She describes how her family came to Idaho, purchased the Aldridge property, their farming and family activities, and described the house they lived in. She recounts her memories of the residents and businesses including the Ustick Mercantile, and describes how population growth has changed the area.

Jerry’s father was Jack Lawson. He traveled the region repairing Burroughs office machines. Jerry’s mother Lozene raised here children on Eagleson road, south of Franklin. Jerry remembers going to KGEM radio station on Cassia, participating in events at Wright Community Church, working for the Idaho Statesman as a teenager, and going to see live music as a young adult.
