She recounted how her grandparents first came to Boise in the 1930s and built their home in the Vista neighborhood. Abstract

Shari Hennefer is the daughter of Earlene Pinneo. Earlene and her older sister, Marilyn Joan Pinneo, moved to the Central Bench neighborhood from the North End in 1930 with their parents George Earl and Ella Cassidy Pinneo. Both Marilyn and Earlene attended Franklin School, for all twelve years, graduating in 1943 and 1945. Shari recounts stories from her mother and aunt about growing up in the neighborhood, as well as stories from her childhood and life there.
